Mr Backwoods here...usin DSL.

I doubt many here use dial up unless they are even more of a BDCC than I am.

What's wrong with dial up?

30-minutes to an hour you can down load a song from itunes.

Backwoods dsl here. However all areas don't have dsl available. Dial up is all they have. Comcast doesn't offer cable modems for my area either.

I'd not be online without some sort of highspeed.

About 7-8 years ago I had to use dial up for about 3 months after 3 years of cable.

It was like tossing out the microwave.

12 megabit cable here. I can't emagine ever going back to dial-up.
