My experience has been that the lift Jack on the left is not sturdy enough to properly handle my needs without breaking. I just received those on the right. They’re advertised as rated up to 800 lbs. I CAN tell by looking that they are built better than the others. They’re available on Amazon.

No wonder it takes him so much time on a job.

Honestly when I read the thread title and saw it was created by Marty, I thought it was going to be about a self-lifting recliner.

Fred lets figure out what it's going to take to bribe him to start a post a week here.

A Rogain of the month club subscription perhaps

Is there like a hydraulic lift that helps you pick up that big old heavy canister dump it into the trash can?
He is right. The powered lift away means you can attach the hose to the head directly for vacuuming under beds and furniture without the canister attached. The ones pictured will not allow the nozzle to attach to the head directly.

I think I need to implement this into my business.
I’ve blown out my helpers back a few times in the last few years thinking she is as strong as me.
Not really fair, I’m 6’3, and 225 lb. She is 5’4, and 115 lb….
Not intentional, just always get caught up in the moment….

As a side note, she KICKS ASS daily….

6’4” 245lbs. Wish I’d had these, sliders and a lift buddy 30 years ago.

I don't move anything I need a jack for.
I’ve got a client that INSISTS I move her coffee table.

It’s has a 2” piece of oval copper glass that’s 8’ long, and probably 5’ wide…

The base is a custom carved stone of some sort…

I bet the thing weighs 800-1000 lbs.

Of course I’ll move it.

The rug is custom made, 22’ X 16’.

She is fine with what I charge her, and so am I.

10 sliders, a lift buddy, a couple wood wedges, a few small pieces of 2X4.

Yes, it’s a total PITA, but it has gained us respect with her, and consequently, her well to do neighbours aswell.

I sure as hell ain’t taking it for an off site cleaning.

Move furniture? That’s dumb.

Unless you’re getting way more than $100 for a room.

It’s a waste to time, energy, and wear on your tm. If it’s any bigger than a couch, it won’t be moved my me

Most of my customers are thrilled when I tell them I can easily clean around furniture without getting it wet.
