pull that rug diagonally down from the hanger so the water draining will be directed to the corner of the rug, making it easier to fix the fringe if it browns out

Adding in extraction via centrifuge or truck mount after your final rinse would help speed your drying and eliminate most of the day 2 (or day 3 depending on your drying situation) fringe work.
