This gentleman supposedly has two of these for sale. Would this have any advantages over my Mytee Eco 14?

Advantages..

Easy swap and clean solution tank

Easier to flush lines and pump

Much easier to maneuver in tight spaces

Three choices of occilation throw/ speed

Its not a Mytee

and most importantly, the tamping action

Do you think it would be an upgrade? Mytee made a lot of junk, but the Eco is a great unit that cleans great and fast.
I have never used the Eco so can't really compare. I have a Sprayborg which is a great machine but I find the Phoenix is a little faster. The Phoenix has a larger orbit, may have a higher rpm and also has some up and down tamping action. I have a dozen 2.5 gallon jugs for both machines and bring all the solution I need. Makes for quick and efficient cleaning on commercial carpet.

I used both side by side with Derrick and Eckman on a half way house in Reno

Jim felt the same way I did about the two and their differences

“Tamping action” denotes, ‘scrubs a lot more’…

I’ve used a Cimex, an old Clark variable speed, an CRB, and a TOPS machine to do encapsulation.

By far and wide, pad selection aside, the TOPS did the best job by far….

So yea, tamping action wins by a large margin.

I don't think I can justify 6 machines at this point, so I've decided to pass on them.

There's the link if anyone wants to pursue.

You don’t know what you’re typing about.

Run a TOPS machine on pet owner carpet and you’ll see a ridiculous amount of pet hair the tamping pulls out, unlike all the other OP machines.

I rarely need to CRB first to pull out pet hair.

Nice try, things change, especially when one doesn’t yet know the truth.

Mostly importantly, that post was before my doc got my PTSD goofball pills right.

$1800 for a Trinity Phoenix in excellent condition is a STEAL. Buy it !!!

I never used Phoenix on Residential

I use a CRB to scrub and Trinity Odyssey to extract for most of my Residential

Releasit DS2 and Phoenix are used for Commercial Carpet Cleaning

Commercial is mostly just using a Microfiber Bonnet

But in some cases a Fiber Pad is needed to scrub before using Microfiber Bonnets

Those two jobs I didn't need a Fiber Pad

Cleaned easily with Microfiber Bonnets and DS2
