Years ago Hydramaster changed the jets on the RX-20 head from 5 to 3. With fewer jets the carpet was less wet. However talking with a few cleaners that have both heads they think the 5 version head rinses and cleans better. Haven't been able to get ahold of anyone at Hydramaster yet. I believe they are closed until after the new year. Will be buying a new RX-20 soon and would prefer the 5 jet if still available vs the 3. Anyone have both please share your opinion.

Narrowed or Shortened?

I actually have a slow speed model from around 1984 with full slots that were narrowed by a SS shoe insert that increased the slot velocity.

I just received a 5 jet head from Hydramaster today. Returned a 3 jet. A 3 jet is standard. 5 jet is optional. Same price.
