I just worry bout any sludgy oil at the bottom that possibly gets left behind with removing oil that way?

One of gearboxes on my vans has no sump plug so I remove the speedo sensor and drain oil through that instead of from the top

CDS units have drain hoses that exit behind the passenger seat. Anyone that has an older unit with a drain hose should check and replace if it gets stiff. It can crack and drain your blower while you're working.

Never seen drain hoses on a blower, other than on modern ATs..
My white magic pro 1900 had convenient drain hoses on everything. Cat, blower and engine, take notes other manufacturers
