I saw a newb ask this question on FB..

Anyone here has ever used hydrogen peroxide/ammonia and odoban for hot water extraction?

I responded with..

Do you have a degree in chemistry?

Probably not.

Pick a prespray from a well established company that has a real chemist on staff.

Clean to IICRC standards and if and when an area isnt responding well, increase your TACT in the opposite direction
.

1.0 would have handled it quite differently....

I would love if 2006 1.0 could meet 2023 3.0

Do you teach TACT or TACH?

Lets make sure Marty has a wonderful Sunday...
Neither.

Both are based on Sinner’s Circle, which is somewhat oversimplified by the IICRC, as was the Arhennius Equation.

I've almost NEVER seen Arhennius properly understood.

To be fair, that left the IICRC tests years back. I don’t know if any instructors still use it.

I think the Kleenrite equipment folks, and both Prochem and Steamway in their fuel oil heating heyday, liked to use it to “prove” how much better their machines cleaned.

I remember all the buzz going on about 240 degree Vortex heat way back when. From that, I learned two things. You get diminishing returns after about 220, and Mikey is highly excitable.
