The same clip is on backpack vacs. Put a loop of your extension cord through the rectangular hole and then over the hook. Clip it on the handle. If you pull too hard on the cord, the clip will come off the handle. You'll feel that you pulled to hard. It is to keep you from accidentally stressing the cord hardwired to the machine.

Just trying to figure out the power cord devices they give you to attach on the brush pro, kind of confusing to me, but everyone’s help me out.
