excess vibration or a solid shock can unseat the internals, used to happen relatively regularly on horticultural spraying setups.
ie I'd replace a gauge about every 2 yrs on a high use unit

If that is pic of exact 1 you bought it says its for air pressure.. It may work perfectly fine as pressure is pressure. I dont know if they're made differently for air vs water pressure?
